Placement Services

Our placement coordinator is available through the school to assist each graduate with their career development. Carol’s focus is on creating positive, professional relationships between Lakewood graduates and employers looking for quality Massage Therapists. The following placement services are available to all current students and graduates of the school free of charge:

• Assist with resumes, cover letters, and references
• Assist with obtaining employment in the field of Massage Therapy
• A variety of helpful materials about Professional Development subjects such as contract negotiation and communication skills.
• Information about massage therapy membership organizations, insurance, and national certification
• E-mail notices of job openings (must be listed with the school as currently seeking employment)

Graduate notices of volunteer opportunities, current trends, news, and business building tips

We have ongoing communicating with massage therapy businesses throughout our region and beyond. We maintain listings of current openings which are available at the school.

Employment/Career Opportunities

There is a wide variety of career settings for Massage Therapists in today’s market. Employment opportunities include athletic clubs, private practice and wellness centers, salons, hotels, resorts, and spas. Numerous health care providers are affiliating with or employing Massage Therapists.

Opportunities in the health care field include chiropractic, physician, and counseling offices, physical therapy and orthopedic clinics, hospitals, and complimentary health care centers.
