Accreditations

Lakewood School of Therapeutic Massage is accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA). COMTA is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.

Why attend an accredited institution?

Accreditation is voluntary process that a school of higher education can choose to complete that evaluates and validates a standard of educational quality. Schools must be accredited by an agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to be eligible to participate in federal financial aid programs. Accreditation is an indicator that a student can use to determine if the school is dedicated to the highest educational standards. Choosing a school that is nationally accredited assures the student that the school has completed a comprehensive review of all academic and ancillary activities and resources that support an institution’s educational objectives and the programs it offers.
